RAFAŁ KŁOCZKO – conductor, composer, music theorist. Described as “one of the most talented conductors of the youngest generation”. He graduated from the conducting studies in the class of Prof. R. Delekta, W. Michniewski and E. Wiesztordt. He participated in masterclasses with M. Guidarini, J. Kaspszyk, C. Metters, A. Holub. In 2016 he received the honourable mention at 6th Lutosławski's Conducting Competition in Białystok, in 2015 the 2nd award at the International Conducting Competition with LCS Orchestra in London, and in 2013 he was the semi-finalist of the International Opera Conductor Competition BLUE DANUBE in Bulgaria. He permanently cooperates with the Pomeranian Musical Society, Cappella Gedanensis Chamber Orchestra, Polish National Opera House in Warsaw, Opera House in Lodz and the symphony orchestra TUTTA FORZA as a conductor. He regularly concerts cooperating with a number of orchestras, like among others, Symphony Orchestra in Koszalin, Kielce, Gdynia, Elbląg, Sopot, Alexandria,  Cappella Gedanensis, Baltic Philharmony in Gdansk, Sinfonia Baltica in Slupsk, Sinfonietta Cracovia, Baltic Opera, National Opera in Ruse, Beethoven Academy Orchestra, Torun Symphony Orchestra and many others. He has also conducted and prepared many opera premieres, like, among others: Eros and Psyche by L. Rózycki (Baltic Opera in Gdansk), Gianni Schicchi and Le Villi by G. Puccini (Chamber Opera in Warsaw), Francesca da Rimini by S. Rachmaninow, Il Tabarro and Suora Angelica by G. Puccini, Orfeo ed Euridice by Ch.W. Gluck and Cosi fan tutte by W.A. Mozart (St. John Centre in Gdansk). He performed at many international musical festivals: Salzburger Festspiele, PROBALTICA (Torun), Gdynia Classica Nova, Opera Young Scene (Warsaw), Midsummer Opera Evenings (Gdansk). He has also made many first performance of works of the young generation of Polish composers. He receives amazing reviews in the trade press every time, where his conducting skills, communication skills, personal culture and huge talent are appreciated. He has collaborated as the assistant conductor with Franz Welser-Möst during preparations for premiere of „Die Liebe der Danae” by R. Strauss with Wiener Philharmoniker (Salzburger Festspiele), Marco Guidarini while working on the operas Traviata (Baltic Opera in Gdansk) and Otello (Opera Festival in Ascoli Piceno in Italy), Michał Klauza at the opera The Gamblers by D. Shostakovich (Baltic Opera in Gdansk), M. Błaszczyk (Torun Symphony Orchestra) and others. He is currently working on the doctorate in the field of conducting, which concerns the genre of opera from the beginning of the XX century. Kłoczko is also the laureate of the prestigious program “conductor-in-residence” and “composer-in-residence” of the Institute of Music and Dance. He has also received a number of scholarships for artistic achievements: Scholarship of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage in Poland, the title of the best Polish student in the category of “art”, the artistic scholarship of the president of Torun and Gdansk and the Marshal of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship and Pomeranian. Now he is studying at Vienna Music University (conducting, opera répétiteur) nad making a conducting traineeship at Viena State Opera House.
